Soldiers Point Texas Awarded $10,000 Grant to Expand Food Access for Veterans
New Food Pantry Coming Soon to Support Local Veterans
We’re thrilled to announce that Soldiers Point Texas has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Kentucky Fried Wishes program by the KFC Foundation. This funding is part of their Expanding Access to Food initiative and will be used to open a new Food Pantry right here at our office.
This new pantry will support veterans and their families in Johnson County and surrounding areas by providing access to nutritious groceries and essential supplies—free of charge.
🛒 What this means:
Thanks to this grant, we’ll soon provide free groceries and essentials to veterans and their families in need. The pantry will be stocked with nutritious, shelf-stable, and perishable items to help support the physical and emotional well-being of our community's heroes.
❤️ Why it matters:
Stable access to food is a foundational step in helping veterans overcome hardship and regain independence. Our new pantry will directly support those transitioning out of homelessness, offering not just meals—but dignity and hope.
📅 Stay tuned:
We’ll be sharing more details soon about the pantry’s grand opening, hours, donation needs, and volunteer opportunities.
