Housing

About our Housing Program

Soldiers Point Texas, a non-profit organization dedicated to tackling the issue of homelessness among veterans in Johnson County. Within its compassionate walls, seven housing units await, offering a sanctuary for homeless vets to reside for up to 18 months as they rebuild their lives.

Upon arrival, veterans are greeted with open arms and a plethora of essential items. A brand-new bed, cozy sheets, fresh towels, and a thoughtful toiletry basket eagerly await them, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Furthermore, to make this haven feel like a true home, each veteran is also provided with a set of dishes, allowing them to savor meals with a touch of familiarity.

Soldiers Point Texas takes pride in its distinctive feature: an inclusive policy that extends to our brave veterans' furry companions. Yes, you read that right! Homeless vets are encouraged to bring their beloved pets along for the journey, even if they happen to have a majestic steed. With ample space and understanding hearts, there's room for horses to join the Soldiers Point Texas family.

At Soldiers Point Texas,  hope springs eternal, where veterans and their cherished animal companions can find solace, support, and a newfound sense of belonging
